Twittering, Twhirling and Twellowing…Oh My!

Written by Terri Zwierzynski

After a couple of months of spending more time in FaceBook deleting junk messages (invites to classes and groups and time-wasting applications that let me send ice cream to friends) than building relationships , I think I’ve finally figured out one way to make it more fun and less work.

I’ve seen folks adding updates to FaceBook via Twitter, so I thought I’d try it. I didn’t really get it at first. But since Twitter made some changes Read the rest of this post »

No Fax/No Fun! Perspectives on Fun

Written by Laura Howard West

A few notable observations about fun:

You know how you remember certain defining conversations in your life? Those conversations, sometimes short ones, that were a turning point. I can remember one about fun that totally was an impetus for change.

I was a VP of Marketing for the retail division of a large international company and our real estate (shopping center) division had been bought out/merged/name changed/management changed, oh about 5 times in 5 years. We were having one of those emergency “morale is really low and what are we going to do about it” meetings with all the department heads.

Smile

Written by Laura Howard West

That used to drive me crazy!

When I was a teenager I was painfully shy.  I wasn’t very confident (although I did have this  inner drive /obsession that I was going to become confident!).  Since I was uncomfortable with myself I didn’t usually smile very often as that would be taking up space in the world. That would be claiming something for myself - I’m happy!  I was always afraid that someone would crush my happiness.  ( I didn’t know at the time that I was the one who was responsible for my happiness and no one could “take it away” ) So, I often had people who would pass by me and say “SMILE!” - rather forcefully, demanding that I brighten up and plaster a big grin on my face.

Purposeful Intuition

Written by Cheryl Vallejos

Many people have learned how to tap into their intuition purposefully, and just as many are not even aware it exists in them. While some people will say, I had a gut feeling about that or I just knew what to do, others will totally discount any thoughts or feelings or instincts they can’t put a trace on. They can’t accept the unexplainable and they don’t follow any gut feelings even when they pop up. They suppress the thoughts, thereby weakening the power of intuition in their lives.

In online marketing, building a responsive list is how you are going to make money. It’s also the most time-intensive task, but extra effort spent on this step will also pay off handsomely.
